After Oliviero Bosatelli’s, another “double” last night: Silvia Trigueros Garrote’s. The Basque from Team Race Land won again Tor des Géants®.
Second in 2017, then two consecutive victories: the first last year, in 2018, and the second in this prestigious tenth edition, with a night arrival as usual, at 1.23 a.m. in Courmayeur.
Warmed by her staff and the few, brave who stayed awake for her arrival, Silvia Trigueros Garrote finished her race in 85h23’15”, record of all times for the women. A race in the lead since km 50 (out from Valgrisenche) which resulted in an incredible sixth position in the overall ranking and an enormous gap on Jocelyne Pauly and Chiara Boggio, expected in the late morning today.
TOR130 – Tot Dret
Few minutes after Silvia Trigueros Garrote, in Courmayeur arrived also female winner of TOR130 – Tot Dret, Marina Cugnetto from Aosta Valley, 28, winner also of Trail Monte Sogno. She won in 28h53’46”; behind her Marie Berna (31h07’20”) and Kaz Williams (32h22’44”).
