Pontboset
Pontboset is encircled by thick chestnut woods and is crossed by the dashing Ayasse Torrent, which over thousands of years has worn away deep, wild gullies in the rock, and is now popular with estreme Kayak fans. Pleasant walks depart Pontboset in the discovery of endless, natural beauty spots, such as the one of Six Bridges.
Don’t miss:
- Retempio Sanctuary
- Orrido del Ratus, a natural beauty spot
- Geological site featuring « potholes »
Pontboset - Donnas
You go down towards the river and cross the stone bridge from which the road leading to the Frontiers starts. You descend the two asphalted hairpin bends, cross the village and continue along the path n. 2 that enters the dense forest. Continue until you reach the hairpin bend of the road that goes down to Hone. After a few hundred meters you cross the footbridge on the river, you reach the Town Hall Square and continue up to the typical stone bridge over the Dora Baltea. You cross the SS 26 and enter the village of Bard at the foot of the fort.
Champorcher - Pontboset
On the asphalt road you cross the stream and take the path of the Alta Via n. 2 leading into the Valle della Legna. Follow the stream until the entrance to the "path of the ravines". Take the right up to the ruins of Porte (1346 m). Go down to the left along the mule track up to Outre l'Eve (1230 m). You cross the village and continue towards Bormes. We continue walking on the aqueduct interspersed at times by very exposed metal walkways. At the crossroads take path n. 2 leading quickly to Frassiney.
