Rain on Courmayeur and on most of Aosta Valley. Tor des Géants® decided to respect the pre-announced weather forecast and the allert launched yesterday by the regional civil protection. In fact, this kind of comunication is never linked to a simple storm. Tor des Géants® Security responsables analised the complete track and paths and have already planned an alternative route far from risks and possible landslides.
Agreed with the mayor of Oyace, an aternative route to reach Ollomont, 13km, have been planned - and will be activated just in case of weather worsening -, it follows wider and lower paths compared to the paths going up and down from the Col Brison.
Today tightened arrivals are expected, the "heart" of the race is passing into the third and final part of the track. This afternoon is expected a significant improvement in the weather conditions. The latest weather updates will come at mid-day.
