From the center of Courmayeur take the road that leads to Piazzale Monte Bianco, continue in the direction of Dolonne up the road to the Fonti Vittoria. After the bridge on the left, take trail A1 on the right that leads to Arpettaz pasture. Continue on the farm road until the last Arp mountain pasture. From there continue along the path that leads to the Col Arp (2571 m).
From the hill you descend along the valley of Youlaz up to the Mayen of Youlaz. Refreshment and control point. From here continue on the dirt road to the entrance of the path that cuts towards the farmhouses of the Arp desot. Continue along the asphalt road until the hairpin bend, from where the trail leads halfway up the coast to La Thuile (1435 m). Refreshment and control point.
