Within the deep valley carved out by the Pacoulla Torrent lies the Mont Mars Nature Reserve, situated at an altitude of between 1684 and 2600 metres and characterised by the presence of numerous rock basins, in which can be found little lakes and peat bogs, as well as a close-knit network of paths. Both the flora and fauna are typically alpine.
