Pre-registration closed: VDA Trailers announces the numbers
Great satisfaction in VDA Trailers at the closing of the pre-registrations of the Tor des Géants®, with more than 2500 runners from 79 nations, and 190 pre-registered at the Tor des Glaciers, in its first edition. In both cases it is a record: for the Tor des Géants® record of requests and for the Tor des Glaciers speed record, considering that the 100 candidates have been reached in just two minutes.
The checks on the long list of pre-registered runners of the Tor des Géants® have already started, the draw coefficients will be calculated (regulation pt 6.4.1 and 6.4.2), after which there will be the extraction and to the definition of the runners admitted considering the country quotas (regulation pt 6.3). The selected will receive an email by February 28, 2019.
The competitors drawn will have time from 1st to 15th March to complete their registration, there will be no repechage, in fact the runners drawn are already counted taking into account the overbooking. The same window of registration will be open also for the “100s”, for them the repechage is foreseen following the chronological registration number, until the quota is reached.
To these names must be added the special guests of this year: to relive these 10 years of TOR in fact they have been called all the winners of the past nine editions in the men's and women's category and the four athletes who "tested" the edition zero of the Tor des Géants®, eleven years ago.
Registration opening
The traffic in the VDA Trailers secretariat will not stop here, of course. In fact, starting from 1st March, registrations will be opened for the other two races scheduled for September 2019: TOR 130 - Tot Dret and TOR 30 - Passage au Malatrà.
The first 500 competitors will be admitted to both races.
Solidarity and environmental bibs
From 20th March 2019 to 30th June 2019, on the website www.100x100trail.com, will be made available 20 solidarity bibs and 10 environmental bibs for the Tor des Géants® at a cost of € 2000.00, for the TOR 130 - Tot Dret instead the solidarity bibs will be 20 at a cost of € 1000.00. The proceeds, after deduction of the runner's race expenses, will be donated to one or more charitable associations of the organization, in the case of solidarity bibs, at the same time the proceeds of the environmental bibs will be used to finance the study and activities related to reduction of the environmental impact on the territory where the event takes place.
