It's started! An excited crowd celebrates the runners

The countdown has finished! The Tor has officially started. Thousands , at the piazza Brocherel at Courmayeur have assisted at the opening of the race. An exultation of colours has welcomed more than 700 athletes, plunged in banners and flags of any imaginable country. An international challenge capable to unite the whole world at the foot of the Alps. The atmosphere is so contagious involving tourists,athletes, volunteers, entire families and local residents. The children of Courmayeur completely excited have greeted the athletes in every language they knew. 
 
Music and applause gave the rhythm right before the start and thanks to the excellent speakers it was a huge show.The animation has involved the top runners, offering themselves in a pleasant exhibition on a catwaIk before starting.
 
All the athletes will experience an unique immersion in nature and they will reach their physical and mental limits. An adventure in which every single one of us can participate getting tuned in live on the official site, he blogs , the web tv, the radio and the various canals of communication that will us keep updated and in contact with our "giants".
