Sandra the brave
Sandra Mejia is a smiling girl from Costarica that is running her first Tor des Géants® edition, just a few days after having take part to the TDS, on the other side of the Mont-Blanc.
Sandra, that have already run different trails, especially on the other side of the Atlantic, have prepared these two “alpine” races devoting herself to training and specific preparation for more over one year, with a lot of engagement and commitment.
“i wanted to take part to the Tor for different reasons”, said Sandra. “To know myself, to know how my body will respond to a race so difficult and long and to learn how to manage my body reactions. And, naturally, to enjoy of the beauty of the mountains and the people of the Aosta Valley region”.
Easy, isn’t it? Absolutely not. To Sandra, that worked in the administrative field of the Firemen of Costarica, have been denied the holidays, just a few days before leaving from Europe. More for spite than for necessities. The young athlete has decided to quit unceremoniously her job to take part to the races. “Because”, she said, “dream are more important than human stupidity”.
So, we are sure, that, in any case, this experience will have big value for her.
